NEWS:April24-27 we demonstrate i-Visto at NAB 2006(Las Vegas)
NTT will exhibit the i-Visto system at NAB2006, the largest exhibition of broadcasting equipment to be held in Las Vegas in U.S.A.

Demonstration
We will exhibit the i-Visto eXmedia server, which has the industry highest transmission throughput of 15Gbps, and other i-Visto equipments.

At the exhibition, NTT will demonstrate the whole procedure for video broadcasting, including capturing, storing, editing, and delivering video content via IP networks by using multiple i-Visto equipments which are connected by an ultra high-speed LAN (10Gigabit ether network).

NTT will also demonstrate its world-leading video codecs, HD-SDI bi-directional optical wavelength division multiplexed transmission system, and the wireless transmission system for 10-Gbps HDTV using the millimeter band.

We are very happy if you would visit our booth.

eXmedia server NEW RELEASE
NTT Develps Word’s First Video Stream Server Capable of Handling up to Ten Uncompressed HDTV Video Streams

Provides IP-based, Uncompressed HDTV Video Editing Environment For the Broadcasting Industry.

NTT Network Innovation Laboratories developed a PC cluster-based, video stream product, named the i-Visto eXmedia server, which can simultaneously handle up to ten 1.5-Gbps of uncompressed high definition television (HDTV) video stream in real-time using an IP network.

Based on NTT’s PC clustering approach, the i-Visto eXmedia server can simultaneously handle up to ten, uncompressed HDTV video streams using IP, for a combined throughput of 15 Gbps. This processing capability will support up to ten users who can simultaneously retrieve or store uncompressed HDTV video materials or can concurrently process 100 high-definition, deigital VTR-quality materials.

Feasibility study for transmitting multiple uncompressed HDTV video stream over 10 Gbps IP in real time at multiple sites at 2004 InterBEE show in Makuhari, Japan.
NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) and 3 partners, with Cyber Kansai Project’s cooperation, conducted a feasibility study for real-time transmission of multiple uncompressed HDTV over IPv4 / IPv6 using 10-Gbps Ethernet between Tokyo and Osaka. As a result, it proved that the real-time transmission of high-quality video materials and remote editing become the level of utilization.
In this demo, four widely-dispersed places ( Tokyo and Osaka) were connected with JCNⅡ and Giga-stream service, conducted not only real-time transmission of multiple uncompressed HDTV, but also shockless stream switching over IP and synchronization clock transmission over IP.

Feasibility study for live bilateral broadband transmission between the U.S. and Japan at 2004 NAB show in Las Vegas
Fuji Television Network, Inc. (Fuji TV) and NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) conducted a joint feasibility study for live bilateral broadband transmission of non-compression HDTV using the i-Visto at 2004 NAB show(booth no. ****), held from April19 to 22,2004.

At the exhibition hall, the connection was set up between FujiTV head quarters in Japan and the Las Vegas Convention Center using NTT Com’s 2.4Gbps fiber-optic lines. The HDTV video from Japan was delivered to NAB2004 show using the i-Visto, the same relay as a live broadcast was performed in both directions.

In addition, both company installed control devices in Las Vegas that enable onsite users to control HDTV-compatible IP cameras installed in Japan in up, down, right and left directions and pun and chilled.

NTT unveiled i-Visto system at NAB2003, the largest exhibition of broadcasting equipment was held in Las Vegas convention center in the U.S. from April 7 to 10,2003 (booth No. SL2822).

The system is commercial production of “IP based uncompressed HDTV transmission system with general using PCs” which was world’s first succeed to develop.

We demonstrated i-Visto’s two functions. The one is uncompressed HDTV video transmission system configured of i-Visto HDTV camera and i-Visto fateway. The other is uncompressed HDTV video archiving system actualized by i-Visto media server.
